Fall Festival 2008

This was our third year in a row to reach out to the children at the Family Life Center in Nashville.  I want to give a special thanks to all of you who donated costumes, funds, and your time to make sure that the Fall Festival Outreach on Halloween night was a huge success.  Also, special thanks to Bethel World Outreach of Brentwood, TN to allow us to use the vans and offer the moms and their children a special, unforgettable night at the fall festival.

What starts out as a night to let some children dress up and have fun on Halloween at a Fall Festival turns into relationships being formed that can make a lasting impact on both, mom and her child, and the volunteer reaching out to help them.

You can’t imagine the hope that this night gives these children.  It also gives the moms a break as there are volunteers ready to walk the kiddos around for a night of fun.

This night led to us meeting 2 different moms who we helped furnish apartments for around Christmas.

Many of the people who volunteered kept up their connections with the mom and her children and were able to provide Christmas gifts for them as well.
